We are greatly saddened by the news that Colonel Roy Brennan died, unexpectedly, on Sunday, 27 June, shortly after returning from holiday in Germany.

Born on 10 March 1931, Roy Michael Brennan was commissioned into the Royal Artillery on 08 February 1952. A keen cricketer, he was a left arm spinner who played in 4 Gunner-Sapper matches, the first two at Lord’s. In his final appearance in 1971, at Woolwich, he captained the side. He was Chairman of the RACC from 1975 to 1980 and had been a Vice President since 1984.
